Is there a better woofer for use with the orginal ESS AMT-1 tweeter? (I'm thinking a Pro Audio Woofer w/ higher sensitivity would be better but I have no experience with the original woofer)
I just ran the WinISD and did some comparisons - The ESS 10" has superior LF extension but lacks SPL/sensitivity which is probably why they can cross the AMT-1 as low as 600 Hz to it as the AMT-1 needs to be padded like crazy which reduces strain and distortion.
Hey, e6zion - thanks for your thoughts/confirmation - we are on the same page, figuratively.
I have the Dayton PA310-8 on hand for testing soon - That 15" FaitalPro looks interesting but just a bit large for my space so the mention of a 12" has me looking into it.
Has anybody bought any of the 830667s yet? The site says they still have 81 in stock. How can they have so many of the same driver as Open Box merchandise?
I wonder if a big shipment came in with significantly damaged boxes? Because they do still have some at normal price, so it doesn't seem like just a Peerless clearance.
I have internet phone and cells, but not VOIP. Apparently they are different interfaces. Best decision I made to cut off AT&T. My ISP handles my 'land' phone now, and I get coast to coast calling without upcharge. There are times when a land phone is required, and it has a battery backup.

I think I still have a set of ESS 10" passive radiators. Actually they might be 12"?

Steve, I think any large pro audio woofer that can get up to 800 would be good, just depends on the coin. The 15pr400 is a running favorite. For the money, I would try this one madisound has on sale. They have a 12in as well. https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/special-sale/faital-pro-15fh500-15-high-output-woofer-8-ohm/

Thanks.
Pity about the Beast Mode tweeter - but it is still a great tweeter at that price.
I was cruising Grainger for 1/2" felt. looks like they may be clearancing the current stock.
The 12" x 12" x 1/2" thick F13 looks like a pretty good deal.
Awesome deal right now on the 6" yellow Dynavox at Newark: https://www.newark.com/dynavox/lw6004hr-nm01/6-mid-woofer-60-watt-6-ohm/dp/78Y7662?st=Dynavox

Or did they buy these from a manufacturer that bought in bulk?
Looks like a lot of Tang Band on sale at PE.

There is a work light among the Valentine's Day sale items at PE. Good opportunity for you, Craig!

have been interesting to me as well for a compact 3-way w/ all-truncated drivers . . . or maybe like Wolf's studio 3-ways.
And I only need to order 5 and I get free shipping
Group buy! Who's in? Come on guys! Don't leave me and Craig hanging!
Does seem like a nifty little driver
PE site is down. The Dayton Audio site is working and loads MUCH faster than PE ever has.
I better get in on that since I brought it up and I'm getting pretty old (night vision isn't as good as it used to be).

Scott, you'll have to call them on your Land Line to order since the site still isn't working.
I know how such things work

I haven't had a landline since 2007! People still have those?
My wife grew up with a party line.
My Gramma Healy still had a party line when I was a kid. We used to pick up the phone to see if we could overhear juicy conversations lol.
I like those too. I did a project with the W2-1803s and thought the rising FR helped with the off axis performance full range.

The 1803S worked well Omni too since that rolls it off faster.
