To those who have worked with or heard the DA32TX00-08 1-1/4" Corundum Dome Tweeter . Whats the general consensus on those suckers ?
I've heard the DA32 in other designs and it sounded very good. Personally, I have had bad luck with it. I don't blame the tweeter; I blame my poor crossover or midwoofer choice. (ie., I tried to cross it to a Esoteric 7" woofer and it sounded bright and harsh. Bulging 3-5kHz power response problem.) I plan to give it another try with a different midrange. I've also used the DA25 in two designs so far, with better luck. The corundum dome material seems to have a very nice, airy type sound quality in the right design.
I have a pair that I used in my Zangers project (paired with the Peerless 8" nomex woofers). I really liked how they sounded and felt they were pretty easy to work with. That project had a pretty wide baffle width and I crossed them over stupid low. 1300 Hz if I remember correctly. Their 3rd order distortion was super low down to 1000 Hz.

I liked them a lot. Many people used them, then they went NLA for the longest time and fell out of use/ favor. I'd like to try them again.
