My boss's son is a priest in a small town in NE Iowa. They have a pair of Crown CDi1000 amps they are looking to sell. These were surprisingly expensive buggers when new. They have Harman's HiQnet DSP accessible via USB that looks very similar to their Driverack processors. Prices seem to be $150-$250 on eBay. Not sure if they want to deal with shipping them, but I can ask.

According to the Menards website my store had 38 in stock. According to reality they had one 3/4" shelf and one 1/2" shelf, with a big chunk out of the end of both. Still grabbed them, as that is just so cheap.

I made a special trip to my local Menards to pick up a small stack. Unfortunately they were all water damaged to the point it wasn't worth the effort.
Unfortunately my project that utilized these split at some of the the glue joints as the humidity dropped this year. They may be salvageable, but have been too busy to try and investigate.
^ The mid dome peak at 8K is a turn off for me unless it can be eliminated w/ DSP or a simple passive filter.
Some one want to give me a clue or help test out a pair?
What mid woofer would you suggest - the Epique 180 would probably look good . . . but mine are questionable sound wise right now - the RS180-8's could work too.
For my needs I think the SS 18W/8531G00's would work . . . in 12 Liters.
Those Fountek's are almost 9" in diameter . . . sweet looking drivers, though . . . you should use them in a tower, Eggie.
I bought one of those acacia edge glued boards from Menards this morning. Super flat, sanded smooth, and quite interesting to look at. I hope I don't have any seams split. I'll be using mine as a OB board, so not glued or bolted to any opposing materials (ie. no fighting stresses).
The one acacia board I purchased from the previous Menards batch has been left in the packaging in my drafty basement. It sees much higher temp and humidity swings down there than indoors. Sofar it seems to have held together without moving, but that can change once cut.

Anybody interested?
These would make killer sub amps.
Will they distort if I play Satanic death metal through them?
I just saw this in-store today over lunch so had to throw a few (or 10) in the back seat. Snap some up tomorrow while there is still time.

Thanks for this Drew. Heading over to my local Menards in a few hours! Their website says they have over 130 in stock.

What's the word on these?
They haven't decided how/where they are going to sell them. They have been sitting on them for a few months, so the wheels move slowly, I guess.
It looks like there are quite a few on ebay. I saw one for $150 + $50 shipping out of California.

The HiVi DM-7500 is on sale at PE for $85. Very nice midrange, I also have a used pair for $100 shipped to the 48 right now.
So, of course I am an idiot. How is the DM-7600 better than the DM-7500?
Not necessarily better, just different due to the recessed nature of the 7600 dome. Just makes it a little easier to integrate with a tweeter.
And I'm only selling because I put myself on a strict one in one out driver hoarding rule.
This is a good rule.
I need that rule! Maybe after I get the 36 mids for the CBT.
So you get to aquire 18 pairs of different mid drivers by selling one pair of the CBT mids? The looks to be a loop hole!
A bunch of subs on sale at PE including all of the GRS “HE” family.

I noticed the edge-glued acacia boards are coming back.

Nice! That's the same price as a Jimmy Johns or Jersey Mikes lunch meal. Going to go check them out tomorrow.
Oooh, over a hundred in Ankeny, so not many should be dinged up yet.

Someone needs to go first and purchase these these fine Chinese drivers made with minimal slave labor.
