What is it with the Satori? Are they more of a bass driver, mid, jack of all trades? The freq looks pretty smooth way up further than usual for a ten, but isn't beaming becoming an issue that high up?

I think I will play with this ESS Heil and the DA25TX00-08 before I go spend $480 on those suggested tweeters, Mr. Hollander. I really have too much stuff already . . . ARE YOU suggesting that the Revelator Tweeter sounds better after flattening/DSP than it does without it?

I love DSP but it cannot fix distortion and dispersion.
^^^ Absolutely true.
So, I make a 4 way XO with affordable drivers instead of a two way with expensive ones . . . (and wind up spending more on the 4 way design). This is a crazy hobby . . .

Yes a proper xo is needed regardless. I'm just pointing out that there are some nice expensive tweeters that sound better than others even with similar flat responses.
was on Emotiva's site for the black Friday's discounts - haven't been there for a few months, but looks like the prices jumped 100% or more or is this the normal pricing.
Newark currently has these TE 41290 terminals for $.064 each. I like screwing them to wooden crossover boards, and for 6.4 cents each they are handy and cheap.
I haven't tried this particular batch, but they are solid brass, and I haven't had any problem. I usually solder the one side and .25 connector on the other.
Cool looking and the price is right. Not sure about the specs - makes me think they were not broken in before he did the sweep. KRK likely used some serious EQ, he has the matching amp as well.
On and off axis sweeps look really good on those ^ SEAS drivers but the FR leaves me wondering what to do with them based upon their size, JR . . . any clues?

It can, but most have used it with a waveguide when doing such a thing.

Must resist the Satori.
MBF 3 way: Madisound Black Friday 3 way
(No idea if the sensitivities and responses actually work together)
SEAS Prestige 27TDFNC/GW (H1462) 1" Textile Dome Tweeter $59 ea. (Reg. $143)
SB Acoustics SB15CAC30-8 5" ceramic woofer- 8 ohms $69 ea. (Re. $98)
Satori WO24P-4 9.5" Egyptian Papyrus Cone Woofer - 4 ohm $139 ea. (Reg. $237)
Not DIY, but monoprice's subs are discounted and you can stack the BF15 code. The 12" ends about 680 plus taxes.
Thoughts on SEAS Prestige 27TDFNC vs SB Acoustics tweeters of similar cost?
I don't know how it sounds, but I really like the way the gold Audax looks.

Ah, I wouldn't assume that. After adjusting the FR many drivers sound better than others. Probably the most differences are in tweeters imo. So yes you need to buy some expensive drivers, start here https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/scanspeak-soft-dome-tweeters/scanspeak-revelator-d2905/9900-00-1-tweeter-textile-dome/

Madisound has added to their sale. I just picked up a set of SB26STCN-4 @ $24 each.
I think Brandon has a STL model waveguide for those.

Do they solder well? Or are they better with just female crimp connectors?

Solders fine

Remember when PE had driver sales like Mad has had for a while now?
Steve over at Apex, JR has some pretty nice 75uF caps for $3.95
https://www.apexjr.com/
He also some Axon 10" on his eBay store but not his website. They look pretty cool if you like yellow cone speakers.
I should really pull the trigger on a pair of these:

Good thru 12/20.

Those Seas would be fun. I used the similar Peerless for a desktop speaker and loved the detail

I searched here, PETT, and diyaudio and didn't find much of anything on those L15RLY's. Any ideas on how good the L15RLY is, especially at $39?
