O'Brien would have been a better name, at least it's a real name. Or pick one of many other constellation names to keep it "stellar".
I'm confident that the name selection is specifically copied so that the speaker shows up in more search results, when people are actually looking for Linkwitz speakers for example. I'm really quite surprised that they changed it, and in such a silly way.

What woofer would you match the B&W mid with, Mr. Hollander?
(Something big and articulate I think like a 12" paper cone of some sort but the aesthetics . . . hmmmm . . .).
That's a good thought exercise. I'd probably shoot for two 8-inch woofers and focus on distortion. Start with SB and Wavecor woofers and do a bit more research over at HiFi Compass. I definitely like the idea of a ribbon or AMT tweeter. I liked the new Radian AMT from Iowa last year and the old AST that Jim and Curt used. Probably few others I've forgotten about.
I haven't used or heard that 8" version, but its bigger brother, the 10" 830668, is a really good driver. I would think a pair of those 8" in a TMWW tower could be quite nice.

The more I think about it, the stupider it gets.

Big Dipper.

1st world "problem". If that.
I'm going to name all my future speakers after their product line, but with a hilarious and blatant typo to avoid Stahl being a dick.
Currently, I am calling all of those SB speakers I've been working on "Team Epikue".
Next budget build I do will be called "The Esotarics"
Referendum series or De-signer series.
I called dibs on the "Ultimacs"
I call dibs on "Kracken" for my next powered sub.
Can I have KrayKen?
Don't forget Your-O, Re-ferrets, or Dbag (MMAG) or DubMag (DMA)

DBag is perfect!
I have some old Accuton mids. Maybe that build should be named (Crackin')

I wonder how few of the Monster Deal of the Week PE is gonna actually sell this week.

I believe JR, Bryan, Craig K, and I heard that Tang Band 8" full range at Axpona. It was part of an OB WFW with two Alpha 15's.
BK and I both sat on the floor to get on-axis, much to the amusement of the rest of the audience. Good speaker.
That was classic!

And then match them up with an ESS AMT-1.

Ah man, looks like more evidence that Peerless is dumping us DIY'ers

I used them in these after removing my precious HM210's from OB duty. Decent drivers for what I used them for.

SB Acoustics SB15NRX2C30-8 $44 at Madisound.
I grabbed a pair. I'd like to compare to the poly cone.
Ah man!!! $44.90 now compared to $26
