I wonder when D'Santorino, AKA ugly woofer is going to show us what else he has been up to. I'm pretty sure he has been working on a curved and shaded CBT. Don Keele inspired> @ugly_woofer said:
I just recapped this guy. It's amazing that it was still working as well as it was considering how far off some of the caps had drifted.
That's a cool looking amp. I had never heard of that one and had to look it up. Love those meters! Do you hear a change in SQ now that it's been rebuilt?

I've been working on projects for other people as well as the unisaw that I bought and some electronic stuff, but the CBT is drawn up and I just need to make a lumber run for BB plywood and Masonite. After the new year I plan to start
I've also been tweaking the Timekeepers build, and that's what I will probably make the rounds with next year.

Tom, I unfortunately never gave it a critical listen before tearing into it, but I can tell you that it is quieter now, partial due to the supply caps being at less than 70 percent of their original value, and I of coarse installed larger caps than original anyway.
As it's December 25 in Oz, a Happy and safe Christmas and New Year to all, with thanks and appreciation for all the advice and banter over the past year.
I made 4 gameboards for the great nieces and nephews. It's based on a gameboard my father made when I was a child. 2 of the boards are Sapele with Mahogany sides and 2 are all walnut.

Wife surprised me this year with some really cool gifts!!
I've always eyed the Lego 911, but just never seemed to buy it (since it came out back in 2018). I also have a thing for Freddy Krueger/Nightmare on Elm street. I saw this shadow box of a spider (spiders, another fascination) at a local oddities shop. How convenient to have both together!!
Anyways....spent a few hours over the last few days putting the 911 together. So fun building stuff like that!! It's really detailed, they did a great job on that kit. Big thumbs up!
Has a little boxer engine that rotates, rear diff, half shafts, suspension, steering, doors open, and the thing is big, like 1/10 scale RC car size.
After getting it together, the one thing they got wrong was the stance. I get why it was the way it was....so the suspension would "work", but man.... nope. Took shit back apart, cut the springs, and reassembled.
There we go, now it's acceptable.😎
Very cool! We gave our oldest the Ford GT kit a few years ago that's a pretty close match to his actual car. This year I gave him a kit to add motors & remote control to it. They make one for the 911 too. Not Lego brand, but available on Amazon via a slow boat to the US.
Another lego dude in the bunch- cool! I know DanP and uglywoofer build too.
I have the Technic Bugatti Bolide and McLaren Senna, as well as the Lego Creator (smaller minifig type) of the Bugatti Chiron and McLaren F1 LM.

Are you still working on that waveguide machine?
Don't forget to sleep once a day, Nick.
What's sleep?
Yes, I made a video of the test run, but I need to speed it up and edit it. It's a really boring 10 minutes.

I'll add my best wishes for a wonderful Christmas to everyone here as well - Thanks for all the interesting projects and a place to learn/share.
Well said my smart friends. I agree. I believe.

Happy Holidays to all.
Our daughter found this at a thrift store. Same album my mom played over & over every year.

Here are the rules for the original gameboard.

Gives me an idea for a down draft table - just not as beautiful, Ron . . . Nice work.
Beautiful work Ron. I can remember many hours of Aggravation with my cousins at my Grandparents' house way back when.

The gameboards were a hit although it challenged the younger kids patience. They were more thrilled with the cash gifts.
Our nieces and great-nephews always like cash, it's not the same if we just transfer the money into their bank accounts.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! 🎄🤘🏼
The car's cool but the spider would freak me out.
