If you are supplying the tents, Bill, please choose whichever you prefer. I am not picky, just glad and thank you for bringing them.
Sounds good. I'll be arriving about 3pm or so on Friday. I'll also bring a pack of sharpies and two packs of "Hello, my name is" badges and throw them on the "greeting" table. See you in a few weeks
Dinner Friday is usually 7pm, depending if we want Trolley or something else this year. Then back to the room to talk etc. Usually mild to moderate music level is fine until 9pm, then we turn it down, and lights out at 10pm.
I should be to Fort Wayne early this year. Maybe 10 AM ish Friday morning. Anyone want to check out Sweetwater then grab some lunch before InDIYana gets rolling?

Can we encourage the use of name tags along with "handles" as well?
I know I have met "PWRRYD/Mustang pops a wheelie" guy, but not 100% I can recall the face/name.

Good suggestion! I'm in the process of "Photoshopping" the new tent cards and getting ready to print. I'll change the "Designer Name:" layer to "Designer name/forum handle:" Can't do anything, however, with the "Hello, my name is" badges. They come pre-printed and would be difficult to modify.
Have some 3.5 inch risers that'll bring just in case. Theme entry 24 stands desired as tall and not deep, but my non theme are stubby monkey butts. Hah, "hello my name is"... slim shady. Prob also bring some dirt cheap for sale or giveaway drivers. See orthopedic next Tuesday, hope not have surgery again to remove 3" plate on lower leg, if so I'm telling him after May 9th.
Also guess time to start voicing with crown amp, have xls1002 and xls2002, think Ben reference is the xls2000? Great amps, lotta headroom. Proceed amp to heavy to hall and remember the dude from last year insisting on mixing variables with the coda amp, had one of those long ago. Neutral powerful amp way to go for speaker comparison.
My entry is done. Boxed up and ready to sit in my temporary apartment. The new job starts the same week of the event, and I can't find enough time to make the trip.
You're not coming this year, John? If so, Hit Petey or Hifijim up. They are planning on coming and possibly may be able to bring your entry along.
Won't be the same without you....

I can send the excel file for the tents to whomever would like to print them. Bill modified it. Dan has a copy too.
John, you can PM the excel file to me. I'll take a look at it and mod as necessary. I'm using the Open Office Calc program to read and mod excel files, just so you know (not a Microsoft Office user.) Open Office Calc can read most excel files, but sometimes there are compatibility issues.
I have not printed the tents yet, so still time to make modifications. Printing will be done on an Epson ink jet using 8mil thick photo quality matte card stock. I have verified that this paper is compatible with Sharpie markers. For Iowa last year, however, I made the mistake of printing some of the tents using Pen+Gear 10mil thick matte photo card stock paper. Turns out, this paper is incompatible with Sharpie markers and will cause the marker tips to actually grind into the paper and stick when you try to fill them out. I verified that this "grind and stick" problem occured when trying to use a Sharpie marker on either side of the paper, so the problem was not a matter of printing on the wrong side.

Gonna miss seeing you and giving you a hard time John.
So depending on if Pete attends and brings my entry, you can still give my crap about my design (as usual ). The tube amp speaker sound way better than these so you will get to hear those in Iowa.

Bummer. I was really beginning to like those jumbo sized, full sheet tent cards. Lots of room for names and driver specs.
I'll volunteer to print tents this year. Should I go jumbo again? Or half sheet sized tents?

Scratch that... 11 AM. Forgot about the time change from CST to EST. Offer still stands.

Sweetwater is such a cool place...and dangerous to a musicians wallet.
How tall are the speaker stands provided?
@isaeagle4031 ping! What height?

I could bring some 24" high stands.

I think that is what size Chuck is bringing, text is sent awaiting reply. I'll let you know if we need them, and thank you for the offer.
I will also have the 2 sizes of crates for adaptation as needed.

Yep- 24-ish" is the reply. I'll let you know if something changes.

Pete Schumacher and HiFiJim (Jim Bohn, diyaudio poster) both reside in St Louis. Jim brought the active Hypex speaker towers 2 years ago.

I know Pete, is he coming? I haven't talked to him in years.
He is planning on it. We texted about a week ago.

Bummer to hear, John! Good luck with the job👍🏻
Temporary setback for sure, I plan on being at the PE SDC in Ohio, and Iowa.
