Attention smart guys, I have a pair of Morel supreme tweeters that I won as a prize at PE several years ago. I would like to do a two way with this woofer using minimal or no Chinese parts. Morel TiCW 634Nd Titanium Series Hybrid Cu 6" Woofer 4 Ohm on clearance for 200 bucks each. Please tell me why this is or isn't a good idea. And remember as the FNG I am also UOM. Un Offendable Man
They should work together very well. With a stepped baffle (or sloped) you might be able to pull off a 2nd order LR crossover which would be awesome.
I won a pair if those same tweeters but haven't decided on the right woofers yet.
After a few days of formulating my proposal and presenting it to my CFO, she said yes to the woofers. It will be another egg speaker. But I am thinking I will do a solid wood butcher block style stepped baffle nearly 2.5" thick so that the tweeter can be placed directly above the woofer with overlapping flanges and not interfere with the spirals inside. !.75 for tweeter depth clearance plus .75 for a woofer bump out/trim ring. Acceptable performance for a small tweeter, has a rear chamber that is completely fake though. I laughed pretty hard when I broke it off to inspect things. Otherwise, they have the same tweeter for 2x the money under the Multicomp Pro branding.

So I just ordered 8x of the GRS 10SW-4 on a whim to try some OB bass, since they were still on sale. Thinking of trying a pair of 4x in a folded "ripole"/stacked "w" config. I've got a couple SA70 plates. Guess I'll find out if that is enough.

I've got a couple of 2" domes
...though I did just pick up a pair of DX20 because they're cheap and perform well, but TW013 is even smaller!
Here's the DX20 next to a "standard" 104mm tweeter, Vifa D27 in this case. I knew they were small, but maybe not quite this small.
