I'm sorry to have to say that Glenn, aka Drummer, is no longer with us. He passed Sunday. We first came in contact with each other little over 3 years ago. It was fantastic knowing/meeting him and getting to jam with him. He will be sorely missed.
Sorry to hear about this . My condolences to his family.
Sadly I never got to meet Glenn but I enjoyed all of his posts. This is a wake up call for me to get my stuff together (living will, power of attorney, kids' trust funds, etc.). Never know when it's your time to exit this world. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
Yeah I hoped to meet the guy. I didn't know he was so close in Indy. From the limited info I got from him here he definitely seemed to be the "burn twice as bright, half as long" kind of personality. In the infectiously good way.
Need to get off my ass and quit being such a lazy flake. Getting called back into the office at work in a few weeks, so that should help get some semblance of normalcy at least. Since I've only got my father's f-150 or the wife's old car (Sebring, needs work) to drive in to work that might finally light the fire to swap out the dead engine in my car. I want my 5-speed back. I foresee making tracks in the snow with an engine hoist in my future.
I tried to get him to go to Indy, but he had to work and a gig. We really hit it off being speaker geeks and musicians with similar tastes. Helping him out with his Vortex speakers was a great time. Really fucking sucks.
There's a special connection made when musicians play with other musicians. When it works, it's magic. I found another brother when we connected. We had so much more to create.
Threw this together this weekend. Needed a cab to support micing our drummers kick drum at practice. Had this Dayton PN395-8 scored at the tent sale this year. 2.9cf@50Hz
Although it's a bit shy on the top end, it could be used as a bass guitar cab. Especially if the amp has some good treble boosting capabilities.
It is so dang windy around here. Figured I'd make the best of it. Had a 26' kite ship in this weekend. Gave it a shot for the first time today. Flew on first try. (Power lines in the pic are 2x as far away as the kite).
Got to pdi and road test a new Dark Horse Mustang last week - pretty sweet ride! My favorite part is you can configure the gauges to look just like the gauges from a Fox body Mustang! Cool things you can do with screens instead of actual gauges The msrp on this one was 91k cdn!

Oh My! RIP Glenn.
Oh shit. Sorry to hear that. Send our condolences to his family.
That's a shame. He'll be missed. He wasn't all that old was he?

I was just thinking about Glenn a couple of days ago.

That's sad news indeed: I didn't know him, of course but I enjoyed his comments on this Forum.
Wolf's link above shows that a lot of people, not just friends and family, will miss him.

Holy crap! That's surprising and sad.
He was a really cool dude, always happy and joking around. Not sure of his exact age, 50's, but never acted like it.😉
Is it better to burn-out than to fade away?
Godspeed, Glen.

I was inquiring to get him up to InDIYana in the Spring since he was so close. Would have enjoyed meeting him and hanging for a bit.

Loved his shared videos from that show in Colorado.

I loved this recording of his drums in his basement --> https://drive.google.com/file/d/13KrGdQsN8W1NvrEdy4EO7A-s-cbkNLtp/view
So effortless - he was a better drummer/musician than those he played with but he didn't care - he loved playing.
I see this piece as a requiem for him.
I'm just so glad he got to join this board recently so we could connect.
(save a copy if you liked it as much as I).
No slight meant, Saturn boy.
Music transcends words.
To create music is to exist beyond the here and now while in the flesh.
To appreciate music is to imagine beyond here and now.
Glen is here and now if you listen spiritually.
This is what binds us here . . . he is missed but will remain as long as we listen.

I was lucky enough to have him play on a few of my songs.

Glenn was a hellava singer too. This is a song he and his girlfriend did. He's singing back up to Angelic, who also did the bass. I played guitar.

Looks like one of those deadly "Irukandji" box jellyfish we have in Queensland!
