Sorry to tell you guys, but come to find out the Behringer deal is a scam. I'm reading there are all kinds of Musicians Friend, Guitar Center, & Sweetwater ads on FB that lead to these scam sites. Hope nobody got burned.
Maybe just at my local Menards, but they had about 100 11-11.5" x 48" particle shelf boards on sale for $0.99 each. I spent 30+ minutes sorting through all the stacks to find myself 6 really nice 3/4" thick boards that were the full 11.5" wide. That's $0.25 per foot! I would have bought more but most had blems or were only 1/2" thick.
Sometimes they have hardwood stair treads on sale (mostly domestic woods like oak, poplar, hickory). They are usually 1" thick x11.5 wide and 48 long. Poplar is like 10 bucks!
Every time I see that thing go for cheap I try to model it. The only scenarios I could see it working passively are aperiodic or OB. Both needing a sub
Then I see the response and wonder how the heck you'd cross that thing with such a tiny horn.... Ignore/use the breakup knee to cross around 3khz?
It would be neat to play around with I guess for so little $ (since I've got CDs lying around). I might learn something
Ironically I had picked those coax 12's up at SDC2024 (20 bucks each and the discount) and also purchased that same PRV driver - wasnt happy or it was creating more issues that could mentally handle and like mentioned, modeled box alignments horrendous. I had tried putting in an old 1.25x2 sealed car sub box with minidsp to mono LR to a single 12pcx+prv tweeter, then other chamber with GRS12he sub from the stash for a back yard boom box but blah, messy and cumbersome. Scrapped and just surrendered to getting a jbl charge5 thing that was on clearance since I can't really thump/crank in the backyard anyway. I put the pair of those woofers on the back table at Indy25 marked free and they were gone quickly. Still have the PRV compression drivers and some celestion horns that will tinker with someday, thought of pairing with quad of epic7's sitting in basement as an mtm of sorts.
It requires a sub because it is designed to be used up top of a bass bin.
2.0 cubic feet sealed with 0.5 ohms (assuming passive between mid-bass and tweeter), 120hz high-pass added (assuming active, yields a F3 of 100Hz. Pretty common in PA world:
For what it is useful for it models just fine IMO. Not the be-all and end-all of PA drivers of course - but will take 50W in that alignment and hit 112db.
This one is currently set to 500 MOQ but I think they are just loading them in the system and left some settings wrong. It looks like there 20 in stock.
I had checked earlier today and the Peerless NE149W were not available but happened to check while at my son's soccer game and they were.
I've listened to the 1" version [DA25TX00-08] and they sound fabulous - very flat FR and should be easy to work with using passive components although it is only 88db in sensitivity. (very detailed in sound reproduction). https://products.peerless-audio.com/transducer/67

Thanks for the follow-up, Tom!!

3 RESTOCKED GRS RT1.0-8 Ribbon Tweeters - $39 each
😆, So that's where it is!!
Lol I just noticed that too yesterday. I think that means they are fast too.
Restocked DATS V3 $66 https://www.parts-express.com/RESTOCKED-Dayton-Audio-DATS-V3-Computer-Based-Audio-Component-Test-System-88-390-807?quantity=1
is there any significant difference between Dats V2 and V3?
The DATS V2 comes with a reference resistor that you need to keep track of to calibrate and is basically the cables with a small plastic section.
The DATS V3 is in a nice metal chassis with the reference resistor enclosed and for calibration you just connect the alligators to the metal posts.
Another really nice benefit of V3 is you can roll your own cables.
Coax 12" for $30 at PE:
https://www.parts-express.com/Dayton-Audio-PCX12-8-12-Pro-Coaxial-Woofer-295-022?quantity=1
Only 2mm XMAX, but that is irrelevant as these are definitely designed to be used as a wedge monitor or the TM portion of a small stack.
Cheap tweeter that might work with the above woofer:

Would require considerable padding.

Targeting 150Hz F3 pushes power handling to 175W FWIW. I'm sure the uglies from the bread butter motor would kick in well before that.

Those Vifa NE's are the bees knees.
To those who have worked with or heard the DA32TX00-08 1-1/4" Corundum Dome Tweeter . Whats the general consensus on those suckers ?
I've listened to the 1" version [DA25TX00-08] and they sound fabulous - very flat FR and should be easy to work with using passive components although it is only 88db in sensitivity. (very detailed in sound reproduction).

The DA32TX00-08 of your inquiry can cross a bit lower and has better off axis response for wide baffles than the 25 and about 2db more sensitive - should be excellent to work with.

They are cheaper now than when I bought mine 2 years ago if you can believe it . . .
