I love rollercoasters, been to Cedar Point once a long time ago. We went there for a family vacation when I was a kid. The Iron Dragon was the newest coaster just installed. Quick search shows 1987, so I would have been 12-13. Definitely want to go back someday.
We went to Universal studios a few years ago, the new coaster there was the Jurassic World VelociCoaster. Holy shit was that a bad MF!!! It kept raining on and off all day and wasn't sure if we'd even get to ride it. At the end of the night, we got in line and made it on🤘🏼 Riding coasters in the dark is always a cool treat.
If I ever build a Cobra kit car it would have that exact blue with white stripes paint. First look I thought it was real with what lools like legit knockoff wheel hubs. Closer look I think there are five normal lug nuts hiden behind some fancy covers.

My only other pic of that one was from the rear. With around 75-80 cars to document I sometimes don't catch the details of each and that one was a new one this year. Sorry.

Bored and stroked courtesy of some Nascar parts. Ported and polished the heads. Single plane intake, again courtesy of NASCAR. MSD ignition. Flat top pistons. TCI built turbo 350. 3.73:1 rear end. Cammed up. High rise lifters. 3500 rpm stall converter. Ended up being about 300 cubic inches and dynoed almost 300hp at rear wheels. Did a dramatic weight loss on the S-15 as well. Already light as it was a regular cab model, but we swiss cheesed the frame, fiberglass hood. Racing buckets. Relocated battery behind cab. Ended up about 2650 pounds with me in it, and a respectable 55/45 weight distribution.
That little truck hauled ass and embarrassed a lot of tuner cars.
There are several 'Cobra replica' firms in Oz; the best ones make a very convincing looking product.
A friend of a friend built one and it really looks the business - blue and white, of course - but it must be a frightening ride. 6.7l supercharged V8 in a car which probably weighs as much as our MX-5 (Miata)!
I thought a friend's Morgan V8 space frame replica was scary, but that beast would dial up the fright factor to another level
Guessing Chris Isaak may not be everyone’s top musician (who?), but I had the opportunity to see him at Strings (a relatively small venue in Steamboat) last night.
He’s a great entertainer, his group of musicians (bass, keyboards, drums, and guitar) were fantastic, and the show was a gas (really, really a fun / entertaining event). Highly recommended if he gets near you.
(Previous week saw John Oates -of Hall and Oats. A complete waste of time, IMO.)
Been busy building a trailer to plop the "rooftop" tent on:
A storage box up front to stow camping gear and a flat bed out back for motorcycle or whatever. I put a small window A/C unit in the box and plumbed it up through the tent floor. Tested out the 1st draft last weekend. Still have more to add.
Installed an awning on telescoping poles... Poles that were legs harvested from an easy up awning that died in one of the earlier big storms of the season.
Installed a tongue box. As you can see even the stray cats love boxes. And that's after hosing it down.
Then went to a local park to test out setting up the awning. wunderground.com said 96F, "feels like" 114F.. There was a nice breeze at least.

Tiny town car show last weekend. Here's a small sample.
That midnight merlot Chevy truck had some incredible artwork on the door panels. It wasn't the only rig there with surprises inside.
Real Cobra or a kit car?

Definitely GM with the Dizzy next to the firewall. Looks like a V6.

Neglected to say, I had not been there in over 20 years.

My amateur assessment is that it was the real deal. I zoomed in on this name plate and Make just says "Ford Cobra". Here's the rear view.

I wonder what frame is under the 4x4 chevy truck? S10?
Maybe these will help.
Yep that's definitely a GM 4.3. I built a nasty 4.3 many years ago.

@jr@mac Do you watch any of Mike Finnegan's stuff? He's planning an all aluminum NASCAR 4.3 for the Rotsun.
That would be awesome!
Surgery on the wrist at 11:45 today.
Keeping you in my thoughts!
Hope it all goes per plan.
T-10 minutes and counting. Good luck JR!
Surgery was delayed, no problems on my end. So hopefully under by 2:00
Good luck JR

Home safe and sound. One metal plate. Seven screws. Long day, much pain.
Glad you are back home - take care (and milk it !)
@DrewsBrews Awesome trailer!! Camping in style👍🏻
