Nitrocellulose lacquer is produced in Canada and it may still be produced in US. It is as flammable as most other flammable solvents. Explosion prove is costly but it's not insanely costly. It's not doom and gloom.
Furniture have been sprayed with NC lacquer for a better part of 20th century. It is still used on high end musical instruments. Aside from french polishing, NC gives the clearest most translucent show of grain.

YouTube adds and adds on news pages are getting more and more annoying. I do use add blocker which occasionally stops blocking adds.
So, here's a question.
Did anyone ever bought anything based on youtube or other adds?
I never have and the effect of been shoved an add in a face is quite the opposite. I do not want to even look at this POS you are trying to sell to me while I am trying to pay attention to something else.
Yes, no?
I pay for no commercials because YouTube is what I mainly watch. I get to watch what I want, when I want for a very cheap cost compared to what cable subscriptions are now.
Some of the channels usually pimp whatever sponsored product they're getting a kick back from, but that's easily fast forwarded through. I get it, they have to make money, whatever.
They say Google is the largest advertising company on the planet, with the best demographic targeting technology. YouTube is where I spend 95% of my viewing time and I agree that most of the ads I see are not for something I'm interested in. I create video ads for local customers, most of which end up on the web in some form. But I don't think I've ever seen even one of my own ads on YT, even when it's something that fits my profile. Maybe Google just can't figure out which lists to put me on.
I watch YT quite a bit during my daily workout. When an ad butts in I am poised with the remote, just staring at the lower right hand corner waiting for the SKIP button to appear. About 10% of the time the ad is objectionable enough to warrant muting.

Sorry guys, hard to type one handed. I tripped over a door sill and broke my fall with my left hand, fracturing my wrist in a couple spots.
May need surgery, I have first meeting with Ortho on Tuesday and we will learn more then.
That sucks, JR! I hope it's not so serious that you'll need surgery.

My attending in acute care mentioned it due to the nature of the break. One piece of bone is floating in there.
I just noticed on Chrome (Mac version) that YT ads still have the line along the bottom showing when you can skip them, but the SKIP button isn't popping up for me. This is a recent development. Luckily, once the line reaches the right side, a page refresh plays the video right away.
Caused discoloration and when she pulled the tape she was using up it pulled chunks of paint out with it There were also divots in the paint from the edge of the hot press she was using
Thankfully it was only the baffle and only one speaker. But, I had been hoping to have the clear coat applied this weekend. Instead I had to sand that baffle down and start the repainting process on it. So it sets me back a couple weeks.

uBlock Origin wipes out ads on Firefox for Mac. I presume it should be available for Chrome. I wish I could find a solution for YT on Roku.
uBO is no longer available for recent Chrome versions, because Google nerfed extensions. The same author offers a Lite version for Chrome but recommends Firefox for full-featured blocking. Summary & links.

Welp, wouldn't be right to go a year without a visit to the Ortho. Fell down and broke my left wrist pretty good.
WTF happened?
Tripped and fell. I'm a clumsy fuck.
Sorry,
Are you a lefty?
Edit: guessing righty now as I see a selfie with a beer in your left hand (phone in right)
I thought everybody could drink beer with both hands ...
Dang jr, stairs?
I thought you were a martial arts guy, don't they teach you how to fall?😛
Had to save the beer
Sorry to hear about the wrist. This wouldn't help for that, but would protect other areas.
Sorry JR. Get better.

I use brave browser, no adds in YouTube.
I just suffer the ads.
If your wife ever assures you that it’s safe to use iron on vinyl on your painted speakers that are almost finished, don’t believe her. She’s wrong 😕
Uh-oh, what happened?

Sorry for your troubles, Impious - call it a learning experience?
Take care, JR - gonna take a while to heal up from that break.
