Cracked open a bottle of wild hops homebrew that had toasted oak chips in it. Dang, after all that time soaking, the char on that oak rivals the hops. Combines to give it... a tobacco note? Yes, kind of like drinking a cigar. Sounds gross to say but it is very interesting!
