If you are interested at all in "fullrange" drivers I have a project that uses all off the shelf parts from Parts Express.

As it sits it is about $127 in parts excluding the enclosures. It only uses one capacitor and one inductor. I am looking into changing the circuit to use smaller value parts that would decrease the price of parts by ~$15.
