Take a look at the impedance curve, there is a weird second hump. Paul Carmody used them recently and didn't report anything audible but many people would avoid then just based on the spec sheet.
I don’t want to revive the 18 month old thread, but Andrew Jones has mentioned in the Project Pad that they had to put a pinhole in the dome of tweeters at Pioneer because the air pressure differential during air transit would cause the domes to suck in. I wonder if that is the same issue - intentional air leak to equalize air pressure for transport but not enough to affect performance (other than an odd looking impedance curve)
