Surprised myself that have everything all buttoned up yesterday. Squeezed xover into these, nice to be done done - work well for use in small room with some deep bass and great dispersion. Terrible efficiency where will see if fall apart at loud spl's. I find I have to do more refinement once move too larger space, fam room. Other >300 large entry, a stand mount, ready to go as well and cladded egg guy formica - they were my plywood boxes from indy25 theme entry.

I finished mine and hit the pillow at 6am this morning, slept til 10am. As Dave Pellegrene's wife used to tell him in regard to time spent finishing speaker projects, "Triple it!"
It had a lot to do with improving the cabinets' usability, making the air seal much better, and improving their performance and aesthetics.
This is the first time i wired a 4pole Speakon for a 3way setup, using as 3 positives and a common negative. I really like how the xover boxes ended up in looks.
The driver damping I applied to the basket was an interesting process. I cut 2x 8" squares of Acousta-Blue to use, and then cut them down to 8 smaller squares. I sliced across a diagonal on all of them, leaving about a half inch together in the center, and cut one resulting corner off each of them to keep the terminals open, and then applied the same half triangle to the frame or basket, folding the other half triangle up the side of the magnet, followed by affixing the smaller corners. When I had all 4 attached, I used a couple zip-ties around the magnet circumference to keep it that way. The frame was noticeably more dead than prior.
I'll hook them up briefly before leaving to make sure they are as they should be. See you all around 4pm...

Interesting idea! Never would’ve thought to do that but makes good sense for an “umbilical cord” between external xover and amp.
The winner asked if they'd fit in his Maverick, likely not, and likely needs a second trip.
Just in case anyone wanted to know, his last name was Froste, and was supposedly the only family in the states(?) with an E on the end. I wonder how he is sometimes...

Dudes, Pics please.
I was bummed to miss but had a hiking trip.
Just got home. I'll start posting some later tonight. I shoot all pics in high rez 50MP mode on my phone and they are too big to post without some post processing. The software on the phone is simply not good enough to reduce the size for posting. So, I need to use Lightroom on a real computer to do the reduction. I have pics of almost everything. Nice pic from of your hiking trip, by the way! You framed it just like a pro!

Mr. Hollander, can you fix our cat carrier?

Was very interesting, lots of fun and great talent!
Hope to see Y'all again next year!
Now for the long drive back, but worth it...
Reminds me of my daughters cat, Clide. I call him Clark and sometimes Kitty Clarkson. Very sweet guy
When do they announce who won Ed Froste speakers? Those were total flash backs!!🤘🏼🤘🏼
They announced it first.
