  • "180lbs and 360 passive watts of gravitational clampping force"

Kinda makes you wonder how much crazy stuff the patient office sees.

  • Hopefully these are ready by Iowa, and hopefully they fit in your car lol.

    I have a signature.
  • The way things are going, it will be Iowa 2026. I'm doubtful of fitting in my car......most likely a rental.

  • This is a long term project. I built amplifier back boxes this weekend. The amp will be covered by a grill.

I added a pocket for the binding posts, power sock and power switch. My thought is that it will be easier to install said items if I don't have to worry about them being air tight,

  • I think I posted about this 9 or 10 years ago but seeing this post from Nick reminded me... those Menards fiberglass ceiling tiles are fantastic. A full 4' x 2' panel is only $6.98 full price but sometimes they have a few with damaged corners for only $0.99 each. Easy to cut with a utility knife blade, just peel off the plastic "pebble" film, and use a little spray adheasive to hold in place. Super effective in damping internal sound waves. Just finished lining my current project's mid/tweets cab with some:

  • Wow! So cheap! I pay good money for DOW 703 compressed fiberglass.

But Chahly - Stahkist don't want speakers that look good, Stahkist wants speakers that sound good!
  • The ceiling tiles are only 5/8" think but super effective. I'm going to add another layer of 1" thick UltraTouch denim behind the midrange drivers. Maybe some 1" thick open cell foam here and there.

Sorry Nick to clutter up your build thread.

  • Don't let it happen again!.......,............. No big deal, and actually that's not clutter, but useful information.
