I have a few small drivers on hand. I was wondering if there are any “legendary” designs using them? Any builds at a diy event that stood out with these drivers? Looks like many cheap tweeters on PE are on back order so that’s probably going be annoying. I have a set of tweeters there too but I won’t be using them for this build lol.
4x nd105-4
2x nd-90-4
2x pc83-4
2x ND65-4
Thanks,

Peerless DX20BF00-04 would be a great tweeter to pair with the ND105 without breaking the bank.

my current computer speakers use the ND105-4 and a ND25FA tweeter. Sound pretty good.

Mike Zisserson's New Horizons were the ND105-4/ND16 combo, sounded good to me.
Scott's Lithium I think if you can still get the tweeters too.

PE is backordered on the tweeters for Lithium, but Digikey shows in stock.

No love for the Nano Neos?
Those poor tweeters were screaming for help....

Rjj45 is there a link to your build thread or build name to look up?
Scott, I see there is a TM and a MTM, I do have 4 of the woofers. Do you prefer the sound of the TM or MTM?
The TM is a small speaker that doesn't sound small. Full BSC, so one might want short stands for actual desktop use. The MTM used the same dimensions as the original Nano Neo. It doesn't extend any lower than the TM, but has 8 ohm nominal impedance and plays loud if needed. I mostly used mine for home theater or outdoor events, but eventually sold them locally for a studio monitor application. I think they would do well on a desktop, but might be overkill in a small room if that's all they are ever used for

My pc desk is in a large den area. Are you saying the MTM,s need stands or the TM? Seems like you prefer the TM though. I do have a separate listening room I swap speakers in. I am trying to finish off a 5.1 setup in my living room that they could be eventually end up used for surround duty.
I will start a new thread with my build.

The TM's might need stands. The MTM's don't. The TM's give that impression "how is all that bass coming from those little boxes?". The MTM's have more of the bass you would expect for their size, so there is less wow factor. I did grow to appreciate the MTM's over time. They did well in many different applications.

Ok, im considering the TM's. I am looking for some tiny speakers to impress people by how large they sound for how tiny they are. Looks like shoving the xovers in these tiny cabients are the tricky part. Would you recommend getting the xover's out of the cabinet since they are so small? Perhaps the mini stand could house it. I'll have to mill it over.
jeez crossover parts got more expensive the past 5-7 years. Just the x-over parts and tweeters are more than the entire Mac-YT-05 kit or chachos kits.
Yikes. I've got a pretty substantial xover part hoard these days, so I don't buy a full set of components new anymore. What I get, I get from Brad if I can.

I moved semi recently and I found my crossover parts stash. Thanks for jogging my memory Scott. I figured I would have sold these or something. I have a lot of parts for a shit designer! I’ll need to order the tweeters and some stuff from JF but this knocked the majority of the price down.
