Those 0.23 were so inexpensive, and I am on the verge of my 4th use of them. I have one pair left remaining. I meant to get more of them before closed out too, but alas....
I too am hoping they get replacements, but won't turn blue doing it.

I was thinking a MAC 05 sealed at some point in those. $22 was a steal
...maybe you will get some headphones with them. I ordered a single pair at one time and they sent me two pair lol. One was pretty good actually, the other not as good but still listenable. That pair I keep at work on my desk. I bet I am the only one in the company with a pair of walnut cup cans.
I've watched that sale come and go a hundred times and never did anything about it. Finally just grabbed a pair of the yellow 6". It's a great deal at the $59 full price, crazy good at the $34 sale price.

I used to see and buy MDF stair tread. They were 1 1/8" thick and 4 ft. long. I used them to make front baffles and build up corners for big round overs. I haven't seen them locally for a while. I still see particle board stair treads.

I will say that it was problematic to work with, but sounded good when right. Just research 'Missing Link' to see the various uses.

I've seen pine and I think oak treads at Menards but not poplar. Wonder if that is a new thing or Im just blind.
how easy or hard is ti to machine the stair treads? Same as any hardwood or these are special treated?
Stair treads are just boards of a specific dimension with rounded edge (sometimes), often pre-finished.
Sometimes thicker than typical 1x material, but otherwise just boards with one of the long edges rounded.
Poplar, IMHO. is a dream to work with. No splinters, very little tearout, about as hard as cherry. Love poplar.
