A fellow DIYer is trying to start a Discord community for speaker nerds, so I thought I'd post an invite here.
Discord is "for gamers" but really it is just a real-time chat system with capability for audio and video chat, as well as screen-sharing, which may be some handy features for the community. It can work from a browser, or a PC app, or a phone app, so pretty much anything you've got can chat on Discord, even my wacky Linux computer has no problem. It works surprisingly well, so much so that it was actually the primary inter-office communication method at an Engineering company where I used to work.
I'm not deaf, I'm just not listening.
