Guys,
Time to start planning for this years IowaDIY.

Proposed dates are 10/17 or 10/24. We are asking our central Iowa peeps if either weekend works better from a sporting event perspective.

    Yeh, I miss you guys. will be nice to see everyone. Those first few years at the DIY events was sweet. They are a bit crowded for introverts like me.

    I think I will bring a TM using RS28F and Usher 8945 and possibly a TM using Eclipse woofer and Wavecor tweeter. The Usher build will be for sale.

    We'll see if I can get something new thrown together that sounds decent enough to show. But the way work has been going, don't place any bets on me bringing anything new.

    Howdy peeps. October 17/18 is confirmed.
    Waiting for the contract from the usual venue - BW Premier Ankeny.
    I'll revert with a group code/link. Rooms should be $129+tax for a double queen.

    I never take our good relationship with the BW Ankeny for granted. Soooooo....To start each years' email, I always ask if they will have us back. Here's a snippet from the last email.

    I just checked the hotel's website. Looks like their full free breakfast is back in business!!!

    I'm in. Southwest Airlines did great handling my tube amp speakers. I'm confident I can now travel with speakers. As a side note Styrofoam sucks! I had white balls and dust all over everything. Does anyone have a source for the black poly packing foam?

    I am planning on attending, along with Shawn. Hopefully with project this time.

    If anyone is interested in ride-sharing, I have enough Enterprise/National points to rent a larger vehicle for almost nothing. Share gas and split driving tedium is the deal.
    Sadly, the hotel points have dwindled. I foolishly offered them to family for a wedding and everyone wanted a room and then made separate arrangements.
    An old friend once said: "all things are relative, and all relatives are things." Lol.
