RS180 phase plug removal

I remember someone removing the phase plugs of RS series woofers to anodize them.
Are they just glued? Threaded?
Any tips on removing it?
I have an old pair of RS180-4 that where in storage for 5 years in MX and then moved to TX, one of them is rubbing the phase plug and want to remove it.

Just punch it out from the back side, it's just glued in. I used cyanoacrylate to reinstall.
Will try with a bigger hammer :P
Well, the vc is off-center, dead speaker.

....well at least you have a nifty phase plug to play with.
