That's cool. I think that is one generation after the A-7 that made it's way into my hands. The first receiver I ever bought was a Pioneer SX-3600. I still have it, but it hasn't worked in about 5 years. It spent about the last 25 years of its life in various lab environments until several of the push button switches gave up.
The next generation of receivers had a single digit behind the SX and had a similar layout to the A-7. This is the SX-7.
Right now on my local Craigslist is a Pioneer SA-620, which is also from the early 80's
It doesn't quite have the specs of the A-7, but would also make a perfectly acceptable amp for something like a garage setup or speaker testing.
Keep an open mind, but don't let your brain fall out.

What Craigslist still exists?
you can sell on it still - for a fee . . .
I thought it was still available everywhere. Much easier for me to navigate than Facebook marketplace.
I list stuff for sale on it all the time, no fee. I think there are fees if you are a business.
Frankly, I was shocked!
Yeah, Craigslist is free, but only about 1/4 of the stuff that's on FB. Really the only reason I'm contemplating signing up.
My latest Craigslist acquisition. I'll be posting some testing results soon.

Looks about the same vintage as the receiver my folks had, but different model the SX-50:

Those look like some pretty nice garage speakers. I still have the original Hafniums. It would be fun to hear the two together.

I have gone in a different direction with these, same drivers, different layout....
Would still like to hear yours, trying to make it to Iowa this year.

Also this little desktop jobbie got a nice review on ASR https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/aiyima-a70-stereo-amplifier-review.52830/
That Monolith stuff is legit and that is a killer price. I'd be tempted but I just don't need anything like that.
