Old... but 30MM views. Just how many times can you spin Pachabels "Canon"? Im not evem sure they realize the chord progression is the same. They miss Blues Travler's "Hook" too.

Scary, but funny! I didn't know about this one. I picked up on hook several years ago when I was humming it for no apparent reason. Never caught Green Day! thanks for that.

The canon in D was largely forgotten until recorded in the 60's, with some changes. I think it was the timing that so heavily influenced so much of pop music.

Plus, it is a great chord progression and odds are Pachy himself would probably A: not recognize it in its current iterations, and B: probably ripped it off from some medieval pan pipe driven drinking song
