Here is the concept: it is a tribute to Zaph / John Krutke of zaphaudio.com fame, and featuring his ZA14 midbass driver as its midrange:
To round out that driver, in the 'high performance to price style' Zaph was known for: The venerable SEAS 27TBFCG metal dome tweeter, and the Dayton audio RS180P-4. The former was also chosen as a visual match to the ZA14, and the latter mostly because I was impressed with its midbass performance in the Kozo speaker I built some years ago.
It'll be a sealed alignment, rolling off the bottom end at roughly 80 Hz, 2nd order.
I'm doing the crossover model now, and the 3d design for printing the enclosure - a sand-filled double-walled PLA design.
More to come, and given no large issues, I'll have them at Iowa this year to demo.

Cool. I haven't seen anybody here use the ZA14.
Should be a pretty nice build. I like how it rolls off at 80Hz sealed, will make integrating it into a HT setup much easier.
