Severe Thunderstorm Pics - Central Indiana

Driving home from plant rebuild yesterday and saw this floating over our home area. It went to a black box on the Radar East of our home. Looks like it was working on rotation. Little bit of green/blue too...

Windshield splats are the inevitable summer flying ants that we get in Indiana. Yuck.

  • We were driving home from Colorado through Nebraska on Thursday and hit the worst weather I've ever driven through. 3 PM and it was as dark as midnight dark. The rain was so heavy I could barely see the semi's trailer lights only 200 ft in front of me. We were crawling ahead at 25 mph. The straight line winds made the rain something crazy my wife and I have ever seen. We were happy to make it to Lincoln NE and find a hotel.

  • Hope your final section home is smooth(er) sailing !

We installed an above ground pool yesterday. Started at 8am and was literally snapping the last trim cap on when the storms came. I had four buddies over and they were all jumping in their cars as the rain came in. Luckily wasn't to bad, but a decent amount of wind and rain, so freaking glad it didn't take the pool wall down!!!

We were setup with my wife's crafts at a festival. Wind started blowing things over. So we started packing. I was soaked by the time everything was in the truck. Then we got home to find the canopy I bought a week ago got blown across the yard and destroyed. Had it lowered down and weights on it, guess not enough. :/
