1. I suggest not to disassemble the front panel lightly, because removing the panel requires first taking out the four screws that secure it. However, these four screws also hold the speaker's front magnet flux plate and front plastic bracket in place. Once the screws are removed, the front magnet flux plate and front plastic bracket are only held by glue. If the glue fails, the speaker could be permanently damaged.
If it is necessary to remove the front panel, be sure not to use an electric screwdriver. Instead, use a traditional manual screwdriver, applying moderate pressure and turning the screwdriver slowly to remove the screws. When replacing the panel and reinstalling the screws, do not tighten them too much. Over-tightening may cause the front magnetic flux plate to shift, which can result in contact with the voice coil and generate unwanted noise.

What kind of scratches/flaws are we talking? I inspected them all and didn't see anything of concern, but I am old.
