I was messing around on Google looking for Seos tweeter waveguides which were previously available through Erich at DIYSG/Denovo. My understanding is that he was moving warehouses or something and that’s why 90% of the DIYSG products are out of stock on the site. (I’d also like one more pair of 8ohm 7” Anarchy’s but those have also been out of stock forever)
Google returned Cinergy Audio as a retailer for the Seos waveguides, and they also have a lot of Denovo branded drivers that I’ve never seen before but look interesting. Pricey, but interesting. Underhung mid with open frame and sounds like decent copper in the motor, for example.
Anyone know anything about these drivers, or the site itself? Cinergy is listed as a retailer on the Denovo site. Is this another domain owned by Erich?

Strange that Cinergy Audio doesn't have any graphs on their site.

They seem like decent drivers based on the AudioExpress writeups. Coil offset is wild but Vance notes that’s within the realm of uncertainty for the Klippel under those measurement conditions.
Yay Motus is back! I knew Erich had bought the inventory and IP a few years back, so very happy to see they are for sale again.
$175 for the 8" is pretty good pricing IMHO.
Yeah, that 8 looks bitchin
Ya, I'd go for that 8''.
Looks like they have the same kits as DIYSG. As far as I knew it was a side gig type thing for the guy. I bet he is either getting more serious or handed off to someone more serious.
"I bet he is either getting more serious or handed off to someone more serious."
I am curious as well.
Seems they never had stock on Anarchy woofers, and they were unable to ship to Canada.
They still are "unable", the new site recommends using a shipping forwarding service for all international orders. You can expect Erich to completely ghost you once he hears you're not from the US as well.
I recall hearing diysg was based somewhere in/around Cincinnati. I'm close by, but certainly not in any "social circles" to know anything more unfortunately.
That is what I always heard too. I have jumped to the assumption that CIN-ergyaudio may be a play on CINcinnati... But you know what they say about assuming.
EricH owns a landscaping business near Dayton, OH. That is how the Solstice and other Denovo cabinets joint venture was possible. Pretty sure PE has eliminated Denovo merch from its offerings. He has dock space where he can stock things other than his primary business. Denovo, DIY SG, and likely Cinergy are Eric's businesses.
I knew he took receipt of the Motus drivers, but it was likely 8 years ago since I heard anything more about them. Karl Keyes, formerly of PE, initially bought Motus before he went to work for Misco as I understand it. Eric housed the drivers for him, and last I knew, Karl severed ties with Eric and left Eric with them sitting. Of note is that these are likely NOS drivers, and unless they know the manufacturing house, will likely be limited to stock on hand. If you want them, get 'em while you can!

I haven't heard either the Motus or the Anarchy. Any particular reason to favor one over the other?
Motus drivers are very clean and low distortion. I've only heard the 5.25", and it was a very good sounding driver.
Anarchy woofers are 6.5" woofers with supposedly 12mm of xmax and have been highly recommended. Some of the best bass I've heard has been quad of Anarchies in push pull.

Thanks Ben
I've heard and used the Anarchy 7's several times. For deeper bass, they sound more like a good 8" woofer than a 7" from an extension and distortion perspective but with lower sensitivity and a smaller required cabinet. Like the 7" Dayton RS aluminum, the are at their best below 1 kHz, but usable somewhat above that.

Agree. Weren’t those around double that when they came out?

Erich bought the rights from Kevin. And maybe the inventory?
I do not remember what they were, but I paid in the neighborhood of $300 for the pair of 5.5" almost ten years ago!
Yes, EricH has the rights to the Anarchy drivers. A while back, Salk bought out DIYCABLE merchandise, and expected to get the Anarchy, but it was already with Eric.
I'm pretty sure the 8" was over $200 back then, and agree with the 5.25 being about $300 for the pair.

They also have more sizes of flat packs than previously: https://www.cinergyaudio.com/collections/speaker-cabinets
