  • Might be a good thing!

  • I don't fully trust my memory on this, but I've read about the Masimo acquisitions in the past. My recollection is that they signaled the death knell for those brands. Apparently they recognized enough value to warrant selling them off to an appropriate destination. So, yeah, I'd look at this as a potential resurrection, if you don't mind seeing that many eggs in one basket.

Interesting that BW is now a stablemate of Revel.

I know several Harman insiders and they are not concerned about Denon, but Marantz has a reputation these days for being Denon with a price tag upgrade so there might be some concern about Marantz continuing on.

  • Samsung strikes again.

  • Harman must have some deep pockets! They have amassed a huge stable of brands in the pro-audio sector.

Not sure how they allocate their money for acquisitions, but Harman is a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung, the 32nd largest company in the world by global revenue. :)

  • Harman is by itself a massive outfit.

One thing we will see out of this is likely to be Marantz branded factory car audio.
