I remember a DIY Iowa event about 15 years ago when one of the HT Guide forum guys brought a project using either that woofer or the 180 mm AC2 woofer and the TS parameters were so far off (probably the magnet probably not fully magnetized) that he wound up with an open baffle project instead of a small tower.

Whatever the case, the midrange sounded like a pretty high end driver, which is generally my impression for other Aurum Cantus midwoofers I have used or heard.

If you mean Chad (ctbowman), he was a PE poster mainly, and had the AC 7" DVC in an open baffle because the Q was too high. I have used a Qts that high in a stuffed vented box before, so I think he had other options that may have allowed for more sensitivity.
