Both. They are both. Good video. Black MDF? That's a new one for me.
We got some in a stash of sheet goods from a local place that went out of business. MDF dust is already gross and this black stuff is even more gross, but it worked perfect in this application. I would definitely use it again if the situation called for it.
The concern for use in positioning would be the large front to back distance required, so a more open and large room would likely follow suit. They are what 2.5-3' deep?
Oh, and what do you call them? Pinwheels? Or did I miss it?

That's definitely a concern, but maybe not as much for someone who's listening room would match this style (i.e. rich 😆). I called them the Vectors, but never said it in the video.

Yeah , great vid too !
Definitely unique - great vid!
"Eye of Horus" becomes "Ear of Horus"?

I'd love to get some of the black MDF as well but I have to take a trailer truck full to get it here in the SE US.

The Europeans seem to use a lot of Valchromat colored MDF. It's very hard to get it in smaller quantities here in the US.
Great vid, just call him "Dado-Dan".

Fantastic build Dan.
Loved the video Dan!
Nice Kerry cameos
Are you bringing these to InDIYana Dan?
Great video! I wish I could do that! Yeah, would be cool to hear them at Indy👍🏻
Yessir. I actually already got a purchase offer for the speakers, but I told him he's got to wait until I show my peeps before I can let them go.
They really look great, Dan.

I envy your skills. Great looking build.
Come on man! Is that the best you can do? Just kidding.
ENVY
Love an artistic build!!!!!
Very creative.

What’s the volume of the woofers enclosure?
17L for both woofers
This whole "looks like it's open baffle but it's not" thing is cheeky
Also, your router's dust collection is insanely good.
Yeah it's very well thought out on that DeWalt router. The open baffle comments were bugging me too. I'm really not a fan of open baffle midrange.
Oh thank Zeus, thought I was the only one.
Vocals are monopole by nature. Everyone else can fuck off.
